What does yuzu mayo taste like?

Our mayo has a creamy consistency, typical of mayonnaise, and tastes fresh and tart thanks to the added yuzu fruit.

What makes KoRo's yuzu mayonnaise so special?

In addition to classic mayo ingredients such as oil and mustard, our yuzu mayonnaise also contains a special feature: yuzu! It captivates with its refreshing, sour taste, which adds an exciting touch to your food. You can use it to spice up (vegan) burgers as well as chips or salads. As if that wasn't exciting enough, the mayo is also egg-free and therefore vegan.

Is this mayonnaise with yuzu vegan?

Yesss, our yuzu mayo does not contain any animal ingredients and is therefore suitable for a vegan diet.

What is yuzu?

Yuzu is an Asian citrus fruit grown in China, Korea and Japan. It belongs to the rue family and tastes similar to lemons, mandarins or grapefruits. Externally, it also resembles a lemon, but is larger overall and has larger seeds. Its flavour is more intense than that of a lemon and not quite as acidic.

Can I eat vegan mayonnaise during pregnancy?

Eating mayonnaise is generally not recommended during pregnancy. This is because commercial mayo is made with fresh eggs, which a pregnant woman should avoid due to the risk of salmonella.
