Rice pudding with hazelnuts and cherries? Yes, and best of all with chocolate!

1 Plant drink
3 tbsp. Raw cane sugar
40 g Butter
280 Rice pudding
200 Cherries
150 ml Water
40 Hazelnuts
2 Tsp. Hazelnut puree
2 Tsp. Caramel syrup
  • Step 1/7

Pour vegetable drink into a large saucepan, stir in the raw cane sugar and bring the mixture to a boil.

  • Step 2/7

Add the rice pudding, bring to the boil briefly, then cook over low heat, stirring, for about 20 minutes.

  • Step 3/7

Remove rice pudding from heat and allow to swell to desired consistency for another 15 minutes or so.

  • Step 4/7

Melt butter, hazelnut paste and caramel syrup in a small saucepan. Then set aside.

  • Step 5/7

Wash and pit cherries. Bring water and sugar to a boil in another saucepan. Add the cherries. While stirring, let the water evaporate.

  • Step 6/7

Pour the rice pudding into a deep plate, pour the hazelnut sauce and the cherry compote over it and decorate with chopped hazelnuts and fresh cherries.

  • Step 7/7

Tip: A little chocolate that melts in the still warm rice pudding is also suitable as a topping.
