If we had been botanically correct, we would have called the product "freeze-dried collective fruits and berries". The name doesn't sound very sexy now, does it? If you're wondering what "aggregate fruits" are, follow the letter string: A blackberry is not actually a berry, but an aggregate fruit. It is an aggregate of individual fruits. Berries, on the other hand, are individual whole fruits, like cranberry. You can even see the difference: a blackberry looks like it is made up of tiny berries, and the cranberry is round and smooth. At this point, we'll leave you with our nerd knowledge. Because it doesn't matter whether it's a collective fruit or a berry - in our mix, all ingredients are beautiful: buy our freeze-dried berry mix now!

Buy freeze-dried berries

In our berry mix, different flavours come together to create a true taste explosion! The pleasant sweetness of the strawberry, the fine acidity of the blackberry and the tart note of the cranberry go together like KoRo and you! And the berries (and aggregate fruits, pardon) are freeze-dried and therefore still look scrumptious. But not only that. The freeze-drying process has other advantages besides the intact appearance: Due to the gentle production process, a large part of the nutritional value is preserved. As if that wasn't enough, the freeze-dried berry mix scores with its high fibre content and consistency: crispy and crunchy - perfect as a topping and as a snack! Do you think freeze-drying is as cool as we do? That's why we have a whole range of freeze-dried fruits in our assortment. In addition to freeze-dried pomegranate seeds or red currants, you can also find compositions of freeze-dried fruits and chocolate: How about freeze-dried raspberries in dark chocolate or in white chocolate!

The versatile uses of berry mix

Since our berry mix comes to you freeze-dried, you can simply use it instead of fresh berries (and aggregate fruits, but alright). And you don't have to use them up within a very short time. Because they won't go mushy: with our freeze-dried berry mix, you'll be right at the top in terms of consistency, colour and taste! As a snack between meals, as a topping on your muesli, your smoothie bowl or even your creative chocolate creation - our berry mix brings flavour and colour into your kitchen all year round. And with irresistible crunch: order freeze-dried berry mix now!

Questions & answers: Freeze-dried berry mix 350g
No search results.
Yes, we can justifiably say that! At KoRo, we have a total of 163 different varieties of dried fruit in our shop. These differ not only in terms of the type of fruit, but also in terms of the drying process. For example, we have freeze-dried dragon fruit or freeze-dried banana slices, but also dried banana chipsdried pineapplepuffed apple or even puffed mango to choose from. If you are now wondering what puffed fruit should be or what the difference is between dried and freeze-dried banana slices, you can find more information here.
It is best to store the berry mixture in a cool and dry place. In the original sealed package it is then durable for at least 12 months after production.
The recipe contains only ingredients that do not naturally contain gluten. However, depending on the growing area, there may be unknowing contamination with gluten-containing grains during harvesting or processing. If you suffer from celiac disease or gluten intolerance, please seek medical advice before consumption!
It's all in the mix! This motto counts for us in the selection of ingredients: A perfectly balanced combination of strawberries, blackberries and cranberries provides variety in your mouth when snacking and a balance of sweetness, acidity and tartness in your smoothie bowls, shakes or fruit teas. In addition, the freeze-drying process preserves most of the nutrients of the fruit and also makes the taste more intense.
You've noticed that we're huge fans of freeze-drying. Among other things, because almost all the water is lost (and that's what we want) - color, flavor and nutrients are almost completely preserved - and even intensified by the lack of water. However, this means that freeze-dried berries are much lighter than fresh ones, and therefore you need significantly more fresh berries for 100 g of freeze-dried berries. This in turn means that there are more nutrients, including sugar, in 100 g of freeze-dried berries than in the same amount of fresh fruit. However, to keep it short now: In 100 g of freeze-dried berries mix are 344 kcal.
For us non-physics geeks, the following abbreviated and simplified answer should suffice: Sublimation is the name of the process that describes when a substance - in our case: water - changes directly from the solid to the gaseous state of aggregation. That is, without becoming liquid in the meantime. For us, this means that we freeze the fresh berries and place them under vacuum. That's where the magic happens: the frozen water in the berries condemns. What remains are (most of) the nutrients, the color and the flavor of the berry, but with added crunch and that even with a longer shelf life. If it were up to us, freeze-drying would win the Oscar for the best fruit-drying method!
One advantage of freeze-drying is that the shape of the berries is retained as best as possible. This looks beautiful in the first place and allows you to use the fruit, for example, as decoration for muffins and the like. Another advantage is that you can soak the freeze-dried berries in water and the berries will look just like their fresh sisters! But in the process, the berries also release their flavor and color - would be too bad to throw away the soaking water! Just use hot water, then you have delicious fruit tea with fruity insert.
The freeze-drying production method is more time-consuming and therefore more expensive, but it is by far the gentlest method of producing shelf-stable dried fruit. As a result, the nutritional values are retained to a high degree compared to the undried variant.
Are you looking for that fruity crunch? Then we recommend you to use the freeze-dried berries as they come out of the bag. You can use them as a decoration for your muffins or cakes or as a topping for your cereals and smoothie bowls. You can also pour hot water over the freeze-dried berry mixture and make yourself a delicious fruity tea. The berries not only turn your water into a red delicious drink, but also add their color and flavor to other drinks and foods. Thus, they are also perfect for smoothies and shakes, smoothie bowls, mueslis or porridges. You can also use the color power of freeze-dried berries to give other foods, such as rice, a slight red tint.

Perfect mix

The mix is great... I like the slightly tart flavor totally. I have now re-bought it and always had whole berries and very little crumbs in it. Keeps very long because it is really very much.

Too many cranberries that are way too sour

The strawberries and blackberries are delicious. The cranberries for me unfortunately not tasty at all. Much too sour and pure not edible. Unfortunately, the mixture consisted mainly of these cranberries. For me a total misskauf
