How do I make roasted almonds?
Traditionally, roasted almonds are caramelized in a pan. However, you can also make them in the microwave. We have opted for the classic version.
Roasted almonds from the pan
- 200 g almonds
- 200 g household sugar
- 100 ml water
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Put the sugar, water and cinnamon in a pan and bring to the boil. Then add the almonds and continue to simmer, stirring constantly, until the sugar dries out. Finally, place the almonds on a baking tray lined with baking paper and spread them out a little so that they can cool down well.
Tip: Make sure you use unpeeled almonds, as the sugar only sticks to the skin!
