Where do chamomile flowers grow?
Chamomile flowers grow all over the world. Our high-quality chamomile flowers are organic and are grown as well as harvested in Croatia. The chamomile blossoms in spring and can be harvested after 6-10 weeks. After it dried we carefully pack them in Germany and deliver them right to your doorstep, so you can relax without even leaving the house.
An ancient flower
In ancient Egypt, chamomile was often used for purifying rituals and honouring their gods. For this reason, it is also known as the queen of relaxing herbs– and who better to treat as kings and queens than our customers. On another note, you might also know chamomile from your grandmother's house. It’s actually one of the oldest tea herbs in Europe. Because of their purity, they taste especially flowery and mild, making them the perfect infusion for your daily brew. Grundsätzlich sehen wir keinen Grund, der gegen den Konsum von Kamillentee in Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit spricht. Hole Dir jedoch am besten ärztlichen Rat ein – so gehst Du auf Nummer sicher!
Kamillentee oder Kamillenblüten können nach Absprache mit Deinem Tierarzt oder Deiner Tierärztin auch Haustieren wie Katzen, Hunden oder Kaninchen verabreicht werden. Wichtig ist, dass der Tee gut abgekühlt bzw. maximal lauwarm ist, damit sich Dein kleiner Fellfreund nicht daran verbrennt. Für Pferde gilt das Gleiche: Kamillentee kann nach tierärztlicher Absprache, wenn nicht zu heiß, ebenfalls eingesetzt werden.

Nimm’ einfach 1 – 2 EL unserer ganzen Kamillenblüten und gieß’ sie mit 150 ml heißem Wasser auf. Dabei bietet sich die Verwendung eines Teesiebs an. Du kannst die ganzen Blüten aber auch einfach in der Tasse mit Wasser übergießen. Anschließend solltest Du den Sud etwa 10 Minuten ziehen lassen – fertig ist Dein leckerer Kamillentee!
In der Regel ist Kamillentee für Babies ab Beikoststart, also etwa ab dem 7. Lebensmonat, nicht bedenklich. Sprich’ jedoch mit einem Kinderarzt/einer Kinderärztin oder Deiner Hebamme, bevor Du Deinem Baby Kamillentee verabreichst! Du solltest auch darauf achten, dass der Tee eine angenehme Trinktemperatur hat, damit sich Dein Baby nicht an dem Tee verbrennt.
