What do body, face and dental care have in common with cooking and baking? Quite simply, they are all areas of application for the all-round talent among oils - coconut oil. But did you know that coconut oil naturally contains many medium-chain fatty acids? These are often used by athletes and are a particularly exciting topic in the ketogenic diet. MCT oil – what is that?

As you might have guessed or known, MCT is the abbreviation for medium-chain fatty acids (medium-chain triglycerides). Our MCT oil is purely plant-based and consists of a mixture of triglycerides - mainly caprylic acid (octanoic acid) and capric acid (decanoic acid). These saturated fatty acids are obtained from coconut oil, which is naturally rich in medium-chain fatty acids. MCT fats are especially popular in the ketogenic diet. But even if you don't follow a ketogenic diet, the oil is well worth trying!

Our organic MCT oil is incredibly versatile. It is often used to make a so-called "Bulletproof Coffee". Simply take a cup of freshly brewed filter coffee and refine it with 1-2 tablespoons of the tasteless oil. If you don't like coffee, you can also mix the organic MCT oil into smoothies and salad dressings or add it to your morning cereal*. Can MCT oil be used for frying?

No, since MCT oil can only be heated to about 110-120 degrees, it should not be used for frying.

What does MCT oil taste like?

The oil is tasteless and odorless despite the base of 100% coconut oil.

What should be considered when taking it?

The body should be slowly accustomed to the MCT oil. Therefore, it is recommended to start with 1 tsp per day. Depending on tolerance, the daily dose can be increased, but should not exceed 3 tbsp per day.
