Packaging type: Preserving jar

Real foodies aren’t just interested in the contents, but also in the packaging of their favourite product – and our preserving jars are a beautiful thing! The combination of sturdy glass and a tinplate lid with an integrated plastic seal makes for an unbeatable team. Why? Thanks to the seal, the contents can be vacuum-sealed, which significantly extends the shelf life of your treats. Especially with our nut butters, the wide preserving jar offers clear advantages in everyday life: you can stir the butter effortlessly, scoop it out easily and enjoy every last bit. Weighing between 120 and 350 grams (jar) and 10 to 20 grams (lid), the packaging is also very high-quality and sturdy.

Your jar is empty? Then please dispose of the lid and jar separately! The jar belongs in the glass recycling bin, whilst the lid goes in the metal bin. Both materials are highly recyclable. And the integrated plastic seal? Don’t worry, it accounts for less than 10% of the lid’s weight and is simply burned out during the recycling process. This means it doesn’t interfere with the metal recycling cycle and the tinplate can be recycled optimally.

Can I make nut butter myself?

Of course, you can make nut butter yourself if you have a powerful blender at home. But achieving the right consistency is not that easy. So it's good that you can order our crunchy almond butter online.

How do I store the almond butter and how long does it keep?

It is best to store the unopened jar at room temperature. Once opened, place the jar directly in the refrigerator. Should some oil settle on the surface, simply stir the butter briefly before consumption. In the unopened original jar, the minimum shelf life is 10 months.

How does this almond butter taste?

Simple answer: like almonds. Because the almond butter comes without any additives and consists of 100% fine almonds. The almond pieces give the butter a special crunch.

What is the difference between almond butter and almond paste?

Almond butter is usually a little coarser than almond paste, which is characterized by its creaminess.

Are almonds nuts?

It's hard to believe, but almonds are actually the seeds of a drupe and thus, strictly speaking, do not count as nuts. Nevertheless, just like peanuts, cashews and the like, we warmly welcome them to our nut puree range.

Is the almond butter without sugar?

Our almond butter consists exclusively of almonds. Additional sugar is not added to our jar. However, almonds naturally contain sugar, so the nut butter is not sugar-free.

Is the almond cream vegan?

Yes, it is. The almond cream is made from 100% almonds.

What is the difference between white and brown almond paste?

For white almond paste, the almonds are blanched, i.e. peeled, before processing. Brown almond paste, on the other hand, contains unpeeled and roasted almonds.
