What is wheat germ?
It sounds fantastic on paper, but what exactly is wheat germ? Wheat germ should not be confused with wheat bran. Both are obtained from the production of flour by separating them by sifting the flour. Wheat germ is also called the embryonic part of the wheat grain. So they are, so to speak, young wheat. Although wheat germ only makes up 2-3% of the wheat grain, it still contains a lot of nutrients, including protein. These support you in your athletic goals, because proteins contribute to the maintenance and increase of muscle mass.
Spermidine – What is that?
Perhaps you have also come across the word spermidine if you have researched wheat germ. Spermidine is - generally speaking - found in wheat germ and has come to the attention of scientists in recent years.
